Rider Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run SUV on Meadow Lark Drive in Birdland

 
BIRDLAND, CA (January 9, 2023) – A motorcyclist was badly injured in a hit-and-run crash on Meadow Lark Drive in the Birdland neighborhood Friday just before noon.
 
The crash happened around 11:57 a.m. on January 6, at Vista Hill Avenue. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 50-year-old woman was riding her motorcycle south in the 2800 block of Meadow Lake Drive when a black late-model Toyota 4Runner broadsided her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the SUV drove off without stopping.
 
Responding paramedics took the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
