Driver Dies after Crashing into Palm Tree in Oxnard

 
OXNARD, CA (November 6, 2023) – Moises Aguilar Jr. was killed in a car accident in downtown Oxnard early Sunday morning on November 5.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on Oxnard Boulevard near Second Street. According to the Oxnard Police Department, Aguilar was driving a 2006 BMW sedan at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a palm tree in the vicinity.
 
Responding firefighters extricated Aguilar from the wreckage and rushed him to County Medical Center in Ventura.
 
Sadly, Aguilar died shortly after arrival. He was an Oxnard resident. His age was not immediately available.
 
Officers said they suspect that one or more passengers may have fled before police arrived.
