Michael Valladares Hit and Killed by Tractor-Trailer on 91 Freeway [Riverside, CA]

29-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Tractor-Trailer in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 14, 2023) – Michael Giron Valladares was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer in Riverside Monday afternoon on June 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:25 p.m. on eastbound 91 Freeway, just west of Tyler Street. According to the CHP, Valladares darted across the eastbound side of the freeway, making it through at least one lane when he ran in front of the big rig.
 
The driver of the big rig slammed on his brakes when he saw Valladares in front of him, but he was unable to stop in time.
 
Riverside Fire Department crews immediately responded and pronounced Valladares dead at the scene.
 
Valladares was 29 years old from Hemet.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
