Maria Kritzberger Suffers Fatal Injuries after Drowsy Driver Accident

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (November 8, 2021) – Maria Kritzberger was killed in a head-on accident in Moreno Valley on Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:40 a.m. on November 4 on Heacock Street near Revere Place. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the driver a Kia Optima was going south on Heacock when they fell asleep and veered into the northbound lanes.
 
Kristzberger, a 57-year-old Moreno Valley resident, was driving a Toyota Camry northbound on Heacock. She did not have time to steer clear when the Kia suddenly appeared in front of her.
 
The two vehicles collided head-on, causing catastrophic injuries to the victim.
 
Soon after, ire crews extricated Kritzberger, who died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Kia driver suffered moderate injuries. As a result, paramedics took him to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment.
 
Further investigation is underway.
