Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 52 in Clairemont

 
CLAIREMONT, CA (November 19, 2024) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Highway 52 in Clairemont Monday afternoon on November 18.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:25 p.m. near Regents Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a reporting party told officers that the man had passed out in front of his white truck on the right side of the highway.
 
Officers arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
 
Investigators were treating the incident as a pedestrian fatality.
 
It was not immediately clear what led to the man’s death. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
