SAN DIEGO, CA (February 19, 2024) — A man run over by a USPS truck on Eighth Avenue near East Street suffered serious injuries.
 
According to San Diego Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 2:00 a.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, a man was reportedly lying down on the exit ramp of the USPS complex. Subsequently, a US Postal Service semi-truck drove over him and continued southbound on its mail route.
 
Soon after, San Diego police officers arrived in East Village of San Diego to find the man screaming and in pain. From there, they took him to a nearby hospital for immediate care.
