Man Dies, Truck Crashes in Front of Home on Greenfield Drive in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (September 13, 2022) — A man died after a truck crashed in front of a house on Greenfield Drive near 3rd Street on Monday morning.
 
According to El Cajon Police, the fatal single-car accident happened around 2:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a 37-year-old woman driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado lost control. Subsequently, the westbound truck slammed into a retaining wall and a power pole in front of a house.
 
The woman was able to exit the vehicle, but her 45-year-old male passenger was trapped.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and brought the pair to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where the man died.
 
At this time, investigators have not confirmed if DUI played a role. However, if anyone has more information on this crash, please call the El Cajon Police.
