SAN CLEMENTE, CA (October 10, 2023) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway in San Clemente Sunday morning on October 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:33 a.m. at El Camino Real. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV and two other vehicles collided along the northbound freeway for unknown reasons.
 
Officers arrived and found the man lying on the freeway next to a vehicle. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
