Crash Involving Semi Truck near Elkhorn Avenue in Fresno County Leaves One Driver Dead

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (November 13, 2024) – A man was killed in a semi truck accident near Elkhorn Avenue and Howard Avenue in Fresno County on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 3:00 p.m. on November 12. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a truck when he ran through a stop sign and drove into the intersection. He then ended up into the path of an oncoming big rig.
 
The big rig did not have a stop sign and crashed into the man’s truck.
 
As a result, the man driving the truck suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His male passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig was not injured.
 
Officials said drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
