Man Killed in Rear-End Accident on Highway 41 near East Mountain View Avenue [Fresno County, CA]

Rear-End Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County Kills 69-Year-Old Driver and Seriously Injures 2 Other People

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (December 12, 2022) – A man was killed in a rear-end accident on Highway 41 in Fresno County Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:22 p.m. on December 9, just near East Mountain View Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a white Dodge Ram pickup at approximately 80 mph when he rear-ended a black Range Rover, driven by a 40-year-old man. The truck eventually hit a fence.
 
As a result of the crash, the driver of the Dodge Ram died at the scene. He was a 69-year-old Laton resident.
 
The driver and a passenger in the Range Rover suffered serious injuires. Their condition is currently life-threatening.
 
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
