Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Bus and Other Vehicles near Mission Boulevard in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (October 6, 2024) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident near Mission Boulevard in Fremont Thursday morning on October 3.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:50 a.m. at Highway 262 and Warm Springs Boulevard. According to the Fremont Police Department, the male pedestrian was standing in the eastbound lanes near Mission Boulevard when a bus ran over him.
 
Other vehicles also ran over the man after the initial crash.
 
Officers arrived and found the victim, who was not yet identified, dead in the roadway.
 
The bus driver, along with other drivers, stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It does not appear drugs or alcohol impairment played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
