Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 155 [Lake Isabella, CA]

Kernville Man Struck, Killed by Pickup Truck on Highway 155 near Keyesville Road

 
LAKE ISABELLA, CA (December 7, 2023) – A 29-year-old Kernville man died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 155, Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 4, at about 8:20 p.m. A man was walking in the westbound lane when, for unknown reasons, he entered the path of a Ford F-150.
 
The pickup truck then hit the pedestrian near Keyesville Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the 87-year-old Ford driver stayed and cooperated with investigators.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
