Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Van at Dillon and Worsley Roads

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (August 21, 2021) – A 53-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident at Dillon Road and Worsley Road early Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 4:48 a.m. on August 20. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man crossing the intersection when a 2020 Nissan van struck him.
 
The impact caused the pedestrian fatal injuries and he died at the scene. Authorities withheld his identity pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old male driver of the van stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
The circumstances of this fatal accident remain under investigation. The California Highway Patrol urged witnesses to call Officer Dyer at 760-772-5300.
