Man Dies in Rollover Crash on 15 Freeway in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (March 23, 2023) — A man died in an overturned accident on the 15 Freeway near Gopher Canyon Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a 48-year-old man driving a gray GMC Sierra pickup truck veered off the road from the southbound 15 Freeway lane. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned, killing a 24-year-old passenger in the car.
 
The driver of the GMC did not report any injuries.
 
Authorities do not have the name of the Moreno Valley victim who perished at the scene; however, we will update this report with his identity once new information comes in.
