Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck near Pepper Drive in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (April 10, 2023) – A 47-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident near Pepper Drive and Jackson Hill Drive in the El Cajon area on Sunday last week.
 
The accident happened around 8:23 p.m. on April 2. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was riding his 2011 Ducati 848 motorcycle eastbound on Pepper Drive when he collided with a 2015 Ford F-150 near the intersection of Jackson Hill Drive.
 
Officers said the 64-year-old driver of the pickup truck had pulled into the roadway and path of the oncoming motorcycle.
 
Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he later died.
 
The identity of the victim is pending until an autopsy is performed by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
