Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Citrus Avenue in Redlands
REDLANDS, CA (August 2, 2022) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Citrus Avenue at Cypress Avenue in Redlands.
According to reports, the fatal motorcycle crash happened Sunday around 8:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 45-year-old Yucaipa man riding a 2004 Suzuki motorcycle was reportedly driving up and down the streets at a high rate of speed.
Subsequently, an officer turned on his lights and sirens to pursue the motorcyclist who fled at unsafe speeds.
Due to unsafe conditions, the officer abandoned the search only to monitor the rider again. However, as the motorcyclist tried to turn southwest onto Cypress Avenue, he struck a curb and was ejected off his Suzuki.
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and brought the man to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
