Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Third Street in Westlake Area

 
WESTLAKE, CA (January 14, 2025) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Third Street in the Westlake area of Los Angeles early Sunday morning on January 12.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:50 a.m. just west of Lucas Avenue near the 110 Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking southbound on Third Street when a light-colored sedan struck him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the sedan fled the scene.
 
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was only described as a white man in his 50s.
