Cyclist Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Van Nuys Boulevard in Valley Glen

 
VALLEY GLEN, CA (November 2, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident at Van Nuys Boulevard and Calvert Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 11:40 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, a southbound vehicle struck a 40-year-old man riding southbound on Van Nuys Boulevard.
 
Instead of stopping, the driver left the scene and reportedly dragged the body of a victim down to Hatteras Street.
 
Due to the victim’s injuries, he passed away at the scene. Authorities have not released his name but described him as a homeless person.
 
The LAPD Valley Traffic Division needs the public’s help in searching for the vehicle and driver involved. Those with information can call their department.
