Car Crashes into Tree on Elwood Road in Yokuts Valley Killing the Driver and Injuring the Passenger

 
YOKUTS VALLEY, CA (September 3, 2024) – A man died in a car accident on Elwood Road at Fulgham Lane in Yokuts Valley on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on August 31. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 44-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on Elwood Road. For unknown reasons, the driver traversed the roadway and into the west dirt shoulder, before colliding into a tree.
 
As a result, the driver suffered significant injuries. Paramedics rushed him to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
 
The passenger of the truck, identified as Alex Alejo, sustained unspecified injuries.
 
It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
