Man Dies, 3 Hurt in 2-Car Crash at Highland Avenue in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 22, 2023) — A man died in a 2-car accident at Highland Avenue and Milner Road.

According to Los Angeles police officers, the deadly collision happened around 2:21 a.m. Thursday. In the 6800 block of Milner Road, a driver believed to be traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a second vehicle.

Soon after, police and paramedics responded to the scene to find both vehicles significantly damaged and at least one person trapped in one of the cars. Upon scoping out the patients, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced one of the victims, a man, deceased at the scene.

Three others — described as two women and a man, including a 35-year-old woman in critical condition — were brought to a hospital for care.

At this time, traffic investigators have not confirmed the factors leading to the crash. However, they do believe speed played a part. Skid marks at the scene showed one vehicle might have been traveling in the wrong direction before the impact.

If anyone has additional knowledge surrounding this fatal collision, please call the Los Angeles police.

Our deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the family and friends of the victim.
