Man Sleeping in His Parked Vehicle Sustained Injuries in DUI Accident on Kurtz Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 28, 2022) — A 32-year-old man suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Kurtz Street on Sunday, November 27.
 
The incident happened at around 1:53 a.m. while the man slept in the back seat of his parked vehicle in the 2700 block of Kurtz Street near Pacific Highway.
 
A 36-year-old woman drove her Dodge Magnum at a high rate of speed. Then the vehicle veered to the right and rear-ended the man’s vehicle. The woman then drove away. Yet officers found her a short distance away and they arrested her.
 
Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, and he received treatment for an open fracture to his leg.
 
Officers said alcohol was a factor in the incident.
