Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle while Lying on Imperial Highway in Brea

 
BREA, CA (January 21, 2024) – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle while lying in some lanes of traffic on Imperial Highway in Brea Friday evening on January 19.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at Puente Street. According to the Brea Police Department, they received a call of a man causing a disturbance and was lying down in traffic lanes.
 
Minutes later, police received a second call reporting that the man was hit by a car.
 
Upon arrival, police found the man in the roadway with major injuries. They attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene.
 
The driver of the involved car stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
Traffic investigators with the Brea Police Department are handling the investigation. They urged anyone with information regarding the death to call them at 714-990-7640.
