Man Dies after Struck by Car on Carpenter Road in Modesto

 
MODESTO, CA (October 19, 2023) – A man was hit and killed by a car on Carpenter Road in Modesto Monday evening on October 16.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. just north of Grayson Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking in the northbound lane of Carpenter Road. A BMW driving northbound in the same lane struck him.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
