Man Killed after Pedestrian Accident on Quimby Road near Burdick Way
SAN JOSE, CA (April 22, 2022) — A man hit by a car earlier this month in a pedestrian accident on Quimby Road has died from sustained injuries.
According to reports, the incident happened at around 2:54 p.m. on Quimby Road near Burdick Way on April 7.
Police said the crossed Quimby outside of a marked crosswalk, where a 2014 Hyundai sedan hit him.
The driver, who didn’t show any signs of drug or alcohol influence, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The pedestrian was hospitalized and stabilized with non-life-threatening injuries. However, he died from injuries sustained in the collision 10 days after the crash.
Officials did not release the name and city of residence of the deceased.
