Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Sunrise Avenue in Roseville

 
ROSEVILLE, CA (December 15, 2022) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Sunrise Avenue near Kensington Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol Auburn area, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 2:10 a.m. Tuesday. For unknown reasons, a 50-year-old man walked directly into the path of an oncoming 2013 Ford Fusion. As a result, the southbound Ford struck the man just south of Kensington Drive.
 
As a result of the crash, the unidentified pedestrian died at the scene. The Placer County Coroner’s Office has yet to identify the victim pending notification of family members.
 
As for the 44-year-old Ford driver from Rocklin, he was driving an Uber at the time at speeds of about 40 miles per hour. However, CHP officials do not believe alcohol played a factor.
