Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Motorcycle Crash on Lower Azusa Road in El Monte
EL MONTE, CA (February 24, 2021) – A man died in a motorcycle crash on Lower Azusa Road on February 20.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Peck Road around 7:00 PM.
Based on a report, a dark-colored 2014 four-door truck with chrome bumpers struck the victim. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle turned into the path of the motorcycle and struck the man. Subsequently, it left the scene without rendering aid to the rider. Officers said there might have been a second car but they did not release more details about it.
As a result, the rider died in the incident. Crews transported him to a local hospital in critical condition and died less than an hour later. Authorities did not release the man’s identity pending kin notification.
As of now, El Monte police is still investigating this motorcycle crash on Lower Azusa Road. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to contact them.
