WILMINGTON, CA (April 4, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Pacific Coast Highway at Wilmington Boulevard.

According to reports, paramedics arrived at the intersection around 5:20 p.m. Sunday to find a 52-year-old man dead at the scene. Authorities learned that the pedestrian was walking northbound across Pacific Coast Highway against a red traffic light. As he crossed the marked crosswalk, an oncoming Scion xB struck him.

Although the driver of the Scion pulled over to help the injured man, a second driver in a dark-colored sedan that ran over him did not.

Now, the police need the public’s help to look for the driver in that vehicle. A standing reward of up to $50,000 will be offered to anyone who can help solve this fatal hit-and-run.

At this time, the liabilities of the accident and the victim’s name are unavailable. If anyone has more to add to this crash, please call the Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic Division at 323-421-2500.
