Man Dies, Car Crashes into 2 Box Trucks on Grand Avenue near Perret Boulevard [Lake Elsinore, CA]

Driver Killed in Box Truck Accident on Grand Avenue in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (November 30, 2023) — A man died after a car crashed into two box trucks on Grand Avenue near Perret Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly multi-vehicle crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, a 56-year-old Lake Elsinore man driving a northbound 2006 Honda Accord veered off his path of travel. Subsequently, his Honda blew through oncoming traffic and plowed head-on into an Isuzu box truck. Upon the initial impact, a second box truck occupied by two people was hit.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and pronounced the Accord driver dead on arrival. However, authorities have not yet identified the victim. The two people in the second box truck reported minor injuries.
 
Following an investigation, authorities learned that the Accord was driving at 55 miles per hour before the hit. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
