Police Arrest Man for DUI after Accident on Abby Street in Central Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (November 30, 2021) – A man was arrested after a DUI accident at Abby Street and Olive Avenue in central Fresno on Thursday evening.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on November 25. According to the Fresno Police Department, the man in his 20s was driving a silver Honda north on Abby Street when he ran a red light at the intersection. He then crashed into a vehicle going west on Olive Avenue.
 
The two vehicles veered to the northwest corner, where they collided with a utility box, causing the traffic lights to shut down.
 
Both drivers sustained minor injuries from the crash.
 
Officers evaluated the driver of the Honda and arrested him for DUI. However, further investigation is underway.
