Rider Dies after Colliding with Car on 5 Freeway in Santa Fe Springs

 
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (May 16, 2022) – Luis Corona was killed in a motorcycle accident in Santa Fe Springs on Tuesday afternoon, May 10.
 
The accident happened around 4:05 p.m. along the northbound 5 Freeway near 605 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, Corona was riding on his motorcycle when he collided with a sedan for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused Corona fatal injuries and he died at the scene. His age and hometown were not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the sedan remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
It is still unclear what led to the crash, and officers had closed down three lanes on the freeway while their investigation continued.
