Motorcyclist Luis Alatorre Sr. Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99 at Avenue 16

 
DELANO, CA (April 21, 2021) – Luis Martin Alatorre Sr. was killed in a motorcycle accident in Delano Saturday evening, April 17.
 
The 55-year-old victim from the city of Fowler in Fresno County died at Kern Medical Center, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 6:26 p.m. on Highway 99 at Avenue 16. Alatorre was riding his motorcycle on the highway when a vehicle struck him. The impact caused him serious injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, he did not survive and was declared dead.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The California Highway Patrol in Visalia is investigating.
