Fiery Motorcycle Crash Occurs on 105 Freeway in Lynwood

 
LYNWOOD, CA (September 27, 2021) – Officers confirmed that a patrol car was part of a fiery motorcycle crash on 105 Freeway on September 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly before 10:30 PM.
 
Based on an initial report, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol car was traveling westbound on the freeway at the time of the crash. At the same time, a motorcycle was on the road at an unknown speed. Then, it split lanes and clipped the back of the patrol car. Subsequently, it slid approximately 75 feet and caught on fire in the incident.
 
Fortunately, the motorcyclist and the deputy in the patrol car did not suffer serious injuries. Their conditions did not require hospitalization.
