Cameron Fish Dies in Single Car Accident on Santa Anita Avenue in Temple City
TEMPLE CITY, CA (September 21, 2021) – Police identified Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy Cameron Fish as the victim who died in a car accident in the 5400 block of Santa Anita Avenue on September 16.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just after 2:00 AM.
Based on an initial report, the off-duty officer was driving a 1965 Shelby Cobra convertible at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the car slammed into a pole. Subsequently, the impact ejected the victim and his passenger from the vehicle.
As a result, the victim died in the incident. The county coroner’s office later identified the man as Cameron Blaine Fish, 33, of Temple City. Paramedics transported his female passenger to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
At this point, the cause of the crash is under investigation by the sheriff’s department and the CHP.
