49-Year-Old Woman Dies after Hit by Vehicle on 880 Freeway at West A Street

 
HAYWARD, CA (November 6, 2022) – Laura Winters was hit and killed by a vehicle in Hayward early Friday morning on November 4.
 
The fatality happened around 3:57 a.m. on 880 Freeway at the West A Street off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, Winters may have run across the freeway when at least one vehicle struck her.
 
The impact caused 49-year-old Winters fatal injuries and she died at the scene. Her city of residence was unknown.
 
At this time, there were no vehicles associated with the crash. Further investigation is underway.
