LA MESA, CA (August 24, 2021) – Fire officials closed several lanes following a semi-truck accident on westbound 8 Freeway on August 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Highway 125 around 6:00 AM.
 
Based on reports, an 18-wheel semi-truck lost control and hydroplaned on the transition ramp. Subsequently, the truck hit the center divider. Then, it spilled fuel in the lanes.
