BAKERSFIELD COUNTY, CA (November 30, 2022) – Lanes were closed following a semi-truck accident on 5 Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 29, shortly before 4:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, two semi-trucks collided near the Grapevine inspection facility, just south of the Outlets at Tejon.
 
As per reports, no one sustained injuries in the collision.
 
Responders issued a SigAlert for the no. 3 and no. 4 lane. The two southbound lanes of the freeway were closed from 4:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
