Accident Closes Bay Bridge on 80 Freeway in San Francisco

 
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 15, 2022) – Emergency crews closed several lanes following an accident on 80 Freeway on April 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Treasure Island Road at approximately 6:33 PM.
 
Based on a report, the incident blocked the two left lanes and the far-right lane of the Bay Bridge. However, the details surrounding the crash were not immediately available.
 
As a result, emergency crews worked to clear the area. At 7:00 PM, the traffic situation on the freeway returned back to normal. However, CHP still warned motorists to expect residual delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area.
