Fatal Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway at Garnet Avenue, Police Identify Kristopher Bush

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 24, 2021) – Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a motorcyclist who died in an accident on 5 Freeway Saturday afternoon, March 20.
 
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, 42-year-old Kristopher Bush of San Diego died at the hospital.
 
Around 5:45 p.m., Bush was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Garnet Avenue. For unknown reasons, he lost control of his bike then went up an embankment on the right side of the highway. He was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered severe injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed Bush to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he succumbed to his injuries.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed or intoxication contributed to the accident. Further investigation is underway.
