30-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 110 Freeway in Downtown LA

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (January 28, 2024)Kevyn Moises Diaz was killed in a pedestrian accident in downtown Los Angeles early Thursday morning on January 25.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:01 a.m. along the southbound 110 Freeway at the South Vernon Avenue exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, Diaz was walking along the southbound freeway when a vehicle struck him.
 
First responders found Diaz lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Diaz was 30 years old and was unhoused, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if the driver of the vehicle stayed after the crash. The circumstances of this fatality are still under investigation.
