43-Year-Old Jose Serrano Dies after Colliding Head-On with Pickup Truck in San Joaquin County
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (July 25, 2021) – Jose Serrano died in a head-on accident near Escalon in San Joaquin County Wednesday, July 7.
The accident happened around 6:50 p.m. on Lone Tree Road near Brennan Road. Police said the 43-year-old victim was driving a Kubota RTV eastbound on Lone Tree Road at an unknown speed. At the same time, a 57-year-old Manteca man was driving a Ford F-150 westbound.
For unknown reasons, Serrano drifted his vehicle to the left and entered into the patch of the Ford, resulting a head-on collision. The impact caused the Kubota to hit a power pole on the north shoulder.
Serrano suffered major injuries from the crash and died at the scene, according to the San Joaquin County Coroner’s office.
The driver of the Ford was hospitalized with minor injuries.
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
