San Bernardino Car Accident Kills Drivers Bobby Foster and Jose Olvera

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (December 15, 2021) – Two men were killed in an accident at Rialto Avenue and Dallas Avenue in San Bernardino, early Sunday morning.

Police identified both victims as 64-year-old Yucaipa resident Jose Villegas Olvera and 34-year-old Highland resident Bobby Ray Foster.

The accident happened around 2:11 a.m. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Foster was driving a 1997 Mercedes-Benz E320 at a high rate of speed when he lost control. He then crossed the double yellow line into the path of a 2006 Honda Civic, driven by Olvera.

The Honda then broadsided the Mercedes, cutting it into two halves and ejecting the driver onto the roadway.

First responders pronounced both Olvera and Foster dead at the scene.

Police said alcohol and speed are factors in the crash. However, the accident remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with further information to contact Detective Dan Acosta or Sgt. Jeff Harvey at 909-384-5792.

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of Bobby Foster and Jose Olvera.
