Motorcyclist Dies Last Month After Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver at 80th Street and Central Avenue

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 4, 2024) – Jose Angel Landeros was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles last month on January 1.
 
The fatal crash happened just after midnight at 80th Street and Central Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a dark-colored pickup truck was heading west on 80th Street when it made a left turn onto Central Avenue and struck Landeros who was riding his motorcycle north on Central Avenue.
 
After striking him, the driver of the pickup fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed Landeros to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Landeros was a 38-year-old Huntington Park resident.
 
The city is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s identification, arrest, and conviction.
