Crash Victim Jordan Miranda Hit by Two Cars, Dies in Central Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (June 29, 2021) – A stranded motorist died in a hit-and-run on Highway 41 in central Fresno Friday just before midnight.
 
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Jordan Miranda of Fresno.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:26 p.m. on June 25 near Ashlan Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Miranda crashed in a single-car accident as he headed south on the highway.
 
When he stopped to check for damage to his SUV, Miranda stepped into the third lane of traffic and was struck by another vehicle.
 
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The woman in the passenger seat of the SUV suffered minor injuries, CHP officials said.
 
The driver of the second vehicle involved fled. The vehicle was described as a gray sedan.
 
They asked anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to call the CHP at 559-705-2200.
