Jesus Moreno Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Chestnut Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by SUV in East Central Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (October 12, 2023) – Jesus Moreno was killed in a motorcycle accident in east central Fresno Monday night on October 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at Chestnut Avenue and Weldon Avenue. According to the Fresno Police Department, a silver Toyota SUV was traveling south on Chestnut and started to make a left turn onto Weldon. It then struck the Moreno that was riding his motorcycle north on Chestnut.
 
Moreno suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 29-year-old Fresno resident.
 
The SUV driver and passengers were not injured.
 
Police said there is no stop sign for Chestnut at the intersection.
 
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this point. Further investigation is underway.
