Jessica Jenkins and Dog Die after Struck by SUV in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, CA (August 30, 2022) – Jessica Jaynee Jenkins was killed in a pedestrian accident in Anaheim on Sunday evening, August 28.
The fatal accident happened around 9:25 p.m. on Euclid Street near Cris Avenue. According to the Anaheim Police Department, Jenkins and her dog attempted to cross illegally when a Dodge SUV struck them.
First responders found Jenkins suffering from major injuries. The dog was dead in the southbound lanes of Euclid Street.
43-year-old local transient Jenkins was rushed to a local trauma center, where she later died.
The 22-year-old man who was driving the SUV remained on scene. He did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
