Jason Stewart, Diego Hernandez Hurt in Corning Head-On Crash

 
CORNING, CA (April 15, 2021) — Two Corning men namely Jason Michael Stewart, 45, and Diego Rodriguez Hernandez, 24, were injured in a crash.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Omar Valdez, Stewart drove a 2000 Honda Civic south on Houghton Avenue near Fig Lane at about 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 11. Then he reportedly moved into the opposing lane and hit a 2010 Ford Fusion head-on.
 
Hernandez who drove the Ford suffered minor injuries, Valdez said.
 
Stewart, who did not wear a seat belt, sustained major injuries. Medics rushed him by ambulance to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
 
Valdez said drugs or alcohol did not play a role in this incident.
