LANCASTER, CA (August 8, 2023) — A homeless man was hit and killed by a driver on Lancaster Boulevard near Valley Central Way.
 
According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 4:02 p.m. Saturday.
 
Under uncertain circumstances, a man, believed to be homeless, died after a driver struck him and left. A news videographer at the scene said a woman stopped her car to allow who she thought was a homeless person to cross. However, the man grabbed her door handle and tried to get in. That is when the woman fled after hitting the homeless man with her vehicle.
 
The unidentified man died in the accident. Authorities have not confirmed the precise circumstances, however. But an investigation into the details should reveal more information.
