Heather Wood Arrested, Man Injured in DUI Accident on Save Mart Parking Lot

 
MARYSVILLE, CA (March 25, 2022) — Officials arrested 36-year-old Heather Marie Wood of Marysville after a DUI crash on Thursday, March 24.
 
According to the Marysville Police Department, at around 3:07 p.m. Wood backed her car into an adult pedestrian. Then she pulled forward and ran over his legs.
 
Witnesses at the scene helped the pedestrian and dialed 911. Medics rushed the pedestrian to Rideout Hospital for treatment.
 
Marysville Police Officers arrived at Save Mart within two minutes. After an investigation, they found Wood to be under the influence of alcohol, twice over the legal limit.
 
Wood also had three children under 15-years-old in her vehicle. All three children suffered injuries. Officials released them to a parent.
 
The Marysville Police Department says that Wood was booked into the Yuba County Jail. She faces charges of DUI causing injury and child endangerment.
