Guillermo Velazquez Charged with Hit-and-Run Following Motorcycle Crash on Etiwanda Avenue near Foothill Boulevard

 
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (May 20, 2024) — Guillermo Velazquez faces hit-and-run charges following a motorcycle accident on Etiwanda Avenue near Foothill Boulevard.
 
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the motorcycle crash happened around 8:21 p.m. on May 12. Under unclear circumstances, 45-year-old Guillermo Carrillo Velazquez crashed into a motorcycle carrying a 54-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman. Subsequently, the Rancho Cucamonga motorist fled, leaving the pair with major injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and transported the two victims to a hospital for care. With witnesses’ help, deputies identified Velazquez as the suspect in this hit-and-run. However, in an attempt to arrest him, the police did not find him at his home.
 
The following day, Velazquez turned himself in to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department. Police charged him with felony hit-and-run and he remains incarcerated at West Valley Detention Center.
