Gerard Sprewell Dies in Accident with Semi-Truck on 15 Freeway near Pomerado Road

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (December 6, 2021) — Gerard Sprewell died in a crash with a semi-truck on the 15 Freeway near Pomerado Road on Thursday morning.
 
According to the San Diego County Medical examiner’s Office, the fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m.
 
Under possible foggy road conditions, 40-year-old Sprewell rear-ended a tractor-trailer while driving northbound on the freeway.
 
Subsequently, the SUV caught on fire. Soon after, Sprewell suffered significant injuries and died at the scene.
